From the 25th July, 2021 Oxford Botanic Garden & Arboretum is celebrating its 400th anniversary year (1621 - 2021), making it the oldest botanic garden in the UK.
This year will feature a range of events, lectures and exhibitions for visitors to enjoy, including the 'Roots to Seeds' exhibition which is free to view and currently on show at Bodleian's Weston Library until:

"The exhibition charts the story of Oxford botany as an ever-changing organism, from its early roots as physic garden in the seventeenth century to the collaborative research of today.
The last 400 years has shown that Plant Sciences at Oxford succeeds by focusing on quality research and by equipping subsequent generations with the tools necessary to frame and answer new questions about the biology of plants."
