The first AIPH Green City Briefing of 2023 is focussed on the Feature City of Montréal, Canada; winner of the ‘Living Green for Water’ category of the AIPH World Green City Awards 2022.
This webinar 'showcases the latest research in integrating green
solutions into water management, from beautiful multifunctional green
spaces for reduced flooding through to changing how to respond to
contaminated land.'
It also 'addresses the integration of blue nature-based-solutions with reference
to the Natural England Green Infrastructure Guidelines' — which will be
launched on 31st January 2023.
The MC for this event will be Tim Badman,
Head of the Heritage, Culture and Youth Team in IUCN (the International Union for Conservation of Nature, with;
- Gary Grant, Technical Director at the Green Infrastructure Consultancy, Chartered Environmentalist,
- Joan Laur, employed by the Research and Development Division of the Montréal Botanical Garden as Scientific Director of the Pathway to Phytotechnology major initiative.
