Winners Announced for the 4th Mollie Salisbury Cup

In 2022, the Garden Museum, London ran its 4th Mollie Salisbury Cup - a memoir writing competition, named in honour of the Garden Museum's founding president - the late Marchioness of Salisbury and generously sponsored by the Cecil family.

Entrants were invited to submit an original work of no more than 1,500 words on the theme of 'Gardening With Secrets'.

Judges included consultant and curator Laura Burlington, a trustee of The Garden Museum and award-winning author Cressida Connolly.

They chose the following winners;

1st Place - Karen Costello-McFeat for the work 'Whispering Grass'

Runners-up
- Marcus Field for the work 'Sunflower Boy'
- Olivia Meehan for the work 'To Plant a Painting'

The first place winner will receive a prize of £750, and their story will be published online in the Garden Museum’s journal, and also be invited to read their work at The Garden Museum Literary Festival at Chatsworth. Two runners-up will each receive £250.
