The University of Oxford Botanic Garden is to run an upcoming Historical and Literary Tour in the Garden.
This July, join local Oxford historian and author Mark Davies, for a 75 minute stroll, focussing on 'some of the eccentric individuals who have graced the Garden over the last four centuries' – from the Garden’s flamboyant first superintendent, Jacob Bobart, ‘the German Prince of Plants’ to Lewis Caroll's Alice from 'Alice in Wonderland' and Philip Pullman's Lyra from 'His Dark Materials'.
