'Chasing Plants' - A Winter Lecture with Dr. Chris Thorogood

Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum's (OBGA) Winter Lectures are back for 2023, with this second talk on the topic of the botanical adventures of Dr. Chris Thorogood; across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Chris will 'bring these adventures to life with his paintings, sharing his hair-raising excursions and explaining the vital work he and the team at OBGA are doing to protect the world's plants.'

Dr. Chris Thorogood FLS, is Deputy Director and Head of Science of the University of Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum. His research focuses on the evolution, conservation and biomimetic applications of plants. He is a wildlife artist, botanical illustrator and best-selling author of specialist field guides and popular books.
